Since the migratory in down stream
of Imjin river lives basin of Imjin river and downstream
of Han river moving between them, itĄ¯s hard to tell
the exact boundary. Also, the inhabitant of White-naped
crane which is assigned as natural monument at the
moment is set up upper stream of Han river but White-naped
crane is often watched in the mouth of Imjin river.
Therefore we will study about birds visit these
areas comprehensively.
Among species found in Han river area and the mouth
of Imjin river, the most important species is the

cranes were watched in the down stream of Gokrungcheon,
Ilsan-si Songpo-dong, neighbour of Gimpobridge,
and mud flat in Gimpo-si Unyang-dong having vegetable

As far as weĄ¯ve known, White-naped cranes has a
temporary stopover in Han river and the mouth of
Imjin river moving from inhabitant in Siberia to

The numbers changes every year but at least 500

Since the end of Feb. White-naped cranes start its
move to breeding place and those which have wintering
Japan its neighbor make a stopover again in the
mouth of Han river heading North.At the end of March,
all of them move to the North.
Another important species in this area is Geri.
About over 500 Geris temporarily stop on this area
during movement period on October and November and
from December to Feb. in which itĄ¯s cold some winter,
and again from the end of Feb. which is the movement
period to North more than 500 winter.
Geris are mainly distributed over mud flat near
tongil tower on Odu mountain, Moonsan bridge, ;

in front of Isanpo I.C.
On the mouth of Gokrungcheon most take a rest near
mud flat, but some do it between the groups of big

60~200 eagle(natural monument 243)s wintered in
Jeokseong-meon Duji-ri until the opening of the
road passing through Duji-ri and they were distributed;
